“Sisters in the Kitchen” —Oil paint + pastel on rough water color paper

• These paintings examine loss and abandonment as inherited experiences—how generational stories and lives outside of my own have informed the way I understand absence and separation.

• Created on watercolor paper—a material not meant to last forever. Although the surface is sealed with gesso to extend its life, the works may eventually disintegrate, reinforcing the presence of loss.
